This
position reports to the Vice President of Development Services.
Position
Summary:
This person
is responsible for planning, tracking and controlling multiple project
efforts. This person also directs project resources that span multiple
teams to deliver software solutions that meet the business requirements
for clients and internal service providers. The focus is on on-time,
on-budget project delivery, timely project status reporting, communication
with clients and internal stakeholders and high quality results. The
project manager has a critical role in representing the company to clients
and in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
The project manager is also responsible for resource and revenue forecasting,
review and approval of project time and estimates to complete and accuracy
of monthly billing.
Responsibilities
and Duties:
Provides
corporate direction in guiding McCamish and client corporate activities
to successful business conclusions
Demonstrates
exceptional broad-based business management through plans, organization,
management technique, and documentation of project activities
Leads
McCamish and client teams in formulating business requirements, project
estimates and plans. Integrates various business, technical, and organizational
disciplines to achieve business and project goals.
Motivates
business organizations and project teams to meet goals and deliverables.
Directs the review and monitoring of work progress. Evaluates strategy
and tactics of activities and resolves potential deficiencies to meet
goals on time and on budget.
Directs,
creates, builds, and maintains necessary communications among business
units, project teams, the customer's representatives, and corporate
management
Oversees
business and project budget issues and makes resource decisions accordingly
Implements,
promotes, and enhances strong business relationships, sound project
life cycle methodology, and other state-of-the-art practices supporting
successful project management
Provides
independent organizational and broad-based business leadership across
client and McCamish boundaries.
Education/Experience
Requirements:
Eight
years in project, functional, or business group management related
to computer and software systems development.
Five
years in the insurance, annuity or mutual funds industries or related
products.
Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation
Requires
demonstrated business management experience, technical background
in software and systems development, and experience with project development
methodology.
Must
have insurance and financial systems experience
Possesses
(preferably) postgraduate degree in computer science, information
systems, and business management or related fields
Can
provide broad-based business and organizational leadership to bring
companies together, build teams, plan multidisciplinary activities,
resolve conflicts, and interface with the corporate team members at
all levels
Must
demonstrate superior ability in managing concurrent, multidisciplinary
activities
Must
have strong interpersonal skills and leadership capabilities
Must
have extensive knowledge of budget and accounting functions and system
